Overview

Initiate and support the implementation of community engagement and accountability approaches within the MRCS/IFRC operation in earthquake-affected areas. Integrate meaningful community participation, communication, and feedback mechanisms into programmes and operations.

Tasks Summary

• Develop a CEA plan for the operation, integrating it into the Operational Strategy, budget, and monitoring plan.
• Encourage and support sector colleagues to integrate CEA approaches and activities.
• Support the planning, implementation, and analysis of assessments by integrating questions on community priorities and perspectives.
• Establish and maintain approaches for community participation in response and recovery plans.
• Establish and maintain a community feedback mechanism for the response, ensuring feedback is collected, analysed, shared, and responded to.

Experience Requirements

Experience in implementing CEA approaches and activities across all sectors and phases of an operation. Experience in integrating meaningful community participation, timely communication, and mechanisms to listen to and act on feedback.
