Overview
Responsible for providing support to Indonesian Red Cross Society for emergency response and early recovery operations. Offers technical support and operational guidance to assist in delivering assistance to affected populations.
Tasks Summary
- Cultivate relations with National Society and advise on assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, and management of disaster response operations.
- Provide management oversight to ensure activities align with IFRC standards and policies, achieving outlined outcomes.
- Ensure sound financial management of operations, monitoring budgets and implementing solutions.
- Manage operational budgets within approved ceilings and in compliance with procedures and donor requirements.
- Support communications and fundraising efforts, coordinating assistance for advocacy and external relations.
- Supervise management and maintenance of resources and personnel for operational activities.
- Manage the operational team and resources in accordance with Secretariat procedures.
- Ensure timely and appropriate planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Support the sustainable development of National Society capacities.
- Strengthen Movement cooperation and coordination to maximize partner effectiveness.
- Assist in providing quality planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of programmes.
Experience Requirements
- 10 – 15 years of experience
- 5-8 years of working in the area of expertise
- Experience of planning and managing finances and budgets
- Experience in managing multiple projects
- Broad understanding of global humanitarian issues, disaster recovery/emergency response
- Experience of working in both emergencies and developmental contexts with international organizations
- Experience in NS capacity building in preparedness, response, and recovery
- Experience of working for the Red Cross / Red Crescent or other humanitarian organization
Qualification Requirements
Relevant university education or an equivalent of qualifying experience.
