The Logistics Officer will coordinate and provide logistics support to ongoing operations and components of the mission. The role involves identifying and mobilizing resources, implementing special logistics operations, and liaising with various units and external entities.
A minimum of five (05) years of progressively responsible experience in surface and/or air transport, logistics operations in military, commercial or international organizations, or related area is required. Experience in applying data analysis to inform decisions, and use of analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, R, Python) to produce visualizations or trend analysis for reports or briefings is desirable. Experience in the use of relevant ERP systems (e.g. Umoja) is desirable. Experience in the drafting and reviewing of SOPs, manuals, operational guidance, and reference documentation is desirable.
Advanced University Degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in logistics, business administration, public administration, engineering, or other relevant field is required. A first level university degree in combination with additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Successful completion of a degree or a recognized professional certification (minimum 30 hours) in data analytics, statistics, or computer science that includes practical application is desirable. Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.
