Associazione ALA - APS Roccantica (RI), Italy Volunteer opportunity: Cultivating Community : Growing up with nature

Tasks Summary

Our project and association want to invite you to rethink the importance of collaboration, starting with food, sustainability, cultural dynamization, and daily actions. This volunteering opportunity offers you the chance to immerse yourself in rural life, where enjoying nature and living together becomes a way of learning. You will be in contact with local and foreign people, both elders and youth, sharing meaningful experiences. You will take part in tasks such as gardening, planting, manual work, painting, and cleaning communal spaces, contributing to the development of an active, sustainable, and supportive community. More than volunteering, it is an invitation to reconnect with what really matters. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Volunteers will be hosted in a shared house with 4 shared bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 living room, and a garden. The house is dedicated to volunteers’ hospitality and has space for up to 12 volunteers. Pocket money and food allowance of 320 euros per month will be provided, plus the bus pass for transportation will be reimbursed at the end of each month Training during the activity The long-term project includes participation in On-arrival and Mid-term training sessions organized by the National Agency, where you will have the opportunity to meet other international volunteers from different countries. Moreover, ALA provides ongoing training to help volunteers improve their competencies. ALA also offers free Italian lessons to volunteers. Participant profile Open-minded young people interested in experiencing authentic rural life and community. Those who enjoy working as part of a team and outdoors, carrying out varied tasks, and learning through hands-on experience. People who value living alongside others of different ages and culture, and who are open and okay to work in an LGBTQIA+ friendly space.
