Overview

The National Technical Analyst will be responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, and operational management of pasture ecosystem restoration and livelihoods support activities, ensuring technical quality and alignment with project objectives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and support technical aspects of project planning, implementation, and reporting related to livestock management, pasture restoration, and livelihood support.
  • Prepare inputs for Project Implementation Reports and GEF tracking tools.
  • Support and advise on preparing TORs, procuring technical services, and managing consultants/contractors.
  • Act as the focal person for mapping and database materials related to pastures.
  • Ensure the full and timely implementation of the project monitoring plan.
  • Organize training, workshops, and capacity building activities.
  • Identify, synthesize, and document best practices and lessons learned.
Required Experience

Applicants with a bachelor’s degree are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in natural resources management components and issues, rural land use planning, and / or forestry management issues.

Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Rangeland/Pasture Ecology, Forestry, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Science/Management, Agronomy/Animal Science, Geography/Land Use/Spatial Planning, Rural Development or Development Studies.
  • A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the fields stated above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
