Overview

The WASH Specialist supports the development, preparation, management, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the WASH CEE programme within the country programme. The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the programming process.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of five years of professional experience at the national and/or international levels on in WASH-related programmes. In depth understanding of and extensive engagement in the WASH sector in Pakistan, including knowledge of the structures, roles and responsibilities of Government stakeholders and with government and non-government partners. Demonstrated capacity in WASH enabling environment and system strengthening. Demonstrated capacity in climate resilience aspects of WASH. Demonstrated experience to deliver through effective working relationships both within and outside an organization. Demonstrated capacity to develop proposals, reports and grant management. Excellent analytical and writing skills, advocacy and presentation skills. Expertise in at least two of the following areas: programme/project management, capacity development, knowledge management, monitoring and evaluation. At least one year of work in humanitarian situations.

Qualification Requirements

An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: public health, social sciences, behavior change communication, engineering or another relevant technical field. Additional relevant post-graduate courses that complement/supplement the main degree are a strong asset.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of the local language of the duty station is considered an asset.
