Overview

The AMR Surveillance System Data Entry Clerk will assist sentinel sites in WHONET data entry, analysis, reporting, and manipulation, submitting daily AMR surveillance data to the National AMR surveillance system database.

Tasks Summary
  • Review and understand documents before data entry, consulting clinicians, microbiologists, and national data managers for incomplete, inconsistent, or illegible data.
  • Perform daily AMR surveillance data entry, timely compilation, and sorting of data.
  • Conduct data entry and cleaning using WHONET and Excel applications.
  • Ensure data quality through various techniques, including comparing entered data with source documents and re-entering data if errors are detected.
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data to be entered.
  • Review data sources and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain data entry requirements through data management SOPs and AMR program techniques.
  • Verify entered data using techniques such as re-entering data and combining data to eliminate duplication before submission.
  • Secure information by completing database backups.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Act as a liaison for AMR surveillance system implementation between sites and the national AMR coordination team.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a data entry clerk or related in the health sector.
  • More than 3 years of experience in AMR surveillance data entry or health-related surveillance system data management, especially WHONET software experience, will be an advantage.
Qualification Requirements
  • Essential: Secondary, technical or commercial school Certificate
  • Desirable: BSc degree in health sciences such as Nursing, Public Health, Laboratory technology with basic background in Statistics, Information Technology, computer science, or other related field of study is highly desirable.
Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent knowledge of English.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of the local language of the region to which the AMR surveillance sentinel site health facility belongs is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: monthly remuneration of $1,272.83 paid in local currency equivalent.
