Overview

Support the prevention and response to sexual misconduct (SM) within the WHO office in Gaza, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and interagency requirements.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the Gaza head of office and WHE team on matters and activities related to PRS.
  • Support the implementation of the Regional Plan on PRS.
  • Support the assessment of Sexual Misconduct (SM) risk in Gaza office and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Support programme and response leaders to implement core in-country PRS activities.
  • Complete the SEAH compliance list.
  • Ensure all personnel are screened.
  • Report regularly on progress, risks, challenges and trends.
  • Conduct PSEA capacity assessments of implementing partners.
  • Ensure WHO fulfils interagency requirements for PSEAH and contribute to joint work.
  • Facilitate briefing and training on PRS for the WHO workforce in Gaza office.
  • Facilitate information sharing and disseminate communication material.
Experience Requirements
  • At least one year of work experience in prevention and response to sexual misconduct or related field.
  • Work experience with children and/or adults who have witnessed or experienced sexual exploitation, abuse or harassment.
  • Work experience in WHO or another international organization (desirable).
  • Experience in the delivery of programs in complex humanitarian or development contexts (desirable).
  • Experience in the provision of safeguarding strategic guidance and technical advice in a complex, large organization (desirable).
  • Experience in IP assessments and capacity strengthening implementation plans (desirable).
  • Experience in managing health interventions in complex humanitarian or development contexts (desirable).
  • Experience in conducting awareness raising and training on sensitive issues such as sexual exploitation and abuse, and/or gender-based violence (desirable).
Qualification Requirements
  • A university degree in social sciences, gender, law, human rights, public health, psychology, or counselling.
  • Specialized training in PSEA, gender, human rights, gender, or gender-based violence (desirable).
Other Details

Languages Required: • Expert knowledge of English. • Expert knowledge of Arabic.

Languages Preferred: • Working knowledge of another UN official language.

Contract Duration: 1 Year

Work Modality:

Remuneration: • Annual base salary starting at ILS 247,628 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
