Overview
The Nutrition Cluster Coordinator will support the Chief of Nutrition and Nutrition Program team by providing coordination related deliverables for effective Nutrition Cluster coordination.
Tasks Summary
- Facilitate cluster coordination mechanisms and partnerships with stakeholders.
- Ensure monthly national Nutrition Cluster meetings are held and documented.
- Produce monthly nutrition response dashboards and operational presence maps.
- Support the planning and implementation of needs assessments and analysis.
- Support strategic planning and the development of the sectoral response plan.
- Support and coordinate resource mobilization and advocacy efforts.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on the coverage, equity, quality and progress of the response.
- Support the annual cluster coordination performance monitoring exercise.
- Support the establishment of inclusive and consultative feedback mechanisms.
- Encourage participation of local and national actors in Cluster activities.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years professional relevant experience related to humanitarian support and coordination, particularly in the area of Nutrition.
- Professional experience in Nutrition-related programme planning and management.
- Professional experience in the area of Nutrition Cluster/Sector/Working Group coordination.
- Experience in emergency response in international settings.
- Relevant experience in programme management in Nutrition related areas in a UN system agency or organization is considered an asset.
- Experience in humanitarian contexts is required with experience in development contexts an added advantage.
Qualification Requirements
Master's degree in Nutrition, public health, food sciences, other related social sciences or other social fields, or any other relevant specialization
