Finance Support Intern

Overview

The Finance Support Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Regional Finance and budget unit, gaining hands-on experience in finance and accounting.

Tasks Summary

• Support data extraction and simple data entry in financial or accounting systems.
• Assist in responding to basic finance or accounting queries from staff.
• Conduct simple checks on payment and supporting documents to ensure completeness.
• Support the verification of documentation for services or goods received.
• Support the preparation of basic financial, statistical, or administrative reports.
• Provide assistance to staff with travel documentation and expense claims.
• Assist with organizing and filing financial documentation in a systematic manner.
• VAT documentation preparation for reimbursement from government.
• Meeting minutes taking and agenda items.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience in Finance, accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in administrative tasks, ERP management.
• Experience working in a multicultural or international environment is an advantage.

Qualification Requirements

• Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited academic institution (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent);
• Be enrolled in a graduate school programme in any of the above (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
• Have graduated with a university degree (as mentioned above) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.

Remuneration: Depending on experience and location, interns are granted a small monthly stipend to help offset costs.
