Overview
Assists in planning, designing, implementation and monitoring of digital communication initiatives that contribute to the Country Office communication strategy. Contributes to strengthening UNICEF’s brand equity by ensuring consistent, timely and high-quality digital communication that engages audiences, reinforces confidence in UNICEF’s mission and values, and creates an enabling environment for resource mobilization.
Tasks Summary
- Support the implementation of the Country Office digital communication and social media strategies.
- Contribute to the development and coordination of content plans for the website and digital platforms.
- Assist in drafting, editing and adapting digital content.
- Collect and consolidate information on programme priorities, activities and results.
- Support communication aspects of public engagement, advocacy and donor-related events.
- Support the maintenance of an organized digital asset library.
- Provide communication and operational support to resource mobilization efforts, with a focus on digital fundraising.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of communication components of the individual giving digital fundraising plan.
- Coordinate with the PSFR Cluster and relevant colleagues on cancellations or modifications of individual donations.
- Liaise with local payment service providers to support the resolution of technical or transaction-related issues affecting digital donations.
- Support the planning and communication aspects of donor engagement events.
- Support monitoring, analysis and reporting of digital communication and fundraising-related performance.
- Conduct analysis of digital analytics and provide technical expertise on the effective use of digital communication channels.
- Monitor and evaluate the reach and engagement of UNICEF’s social media posts, website visitors and digital platforms.
- Recommend appropriate and timely action for course correction or for reporting.
- Maintain a library of coverage.
- Assist in providing inputs/feedback to RO/DOC on the use and appropriateness of global communication materials.
- Ensure good quality data collection, analysis and evaluation and reporting.
- Undertake lessons learned review of successful and unsuccessful social media and online communication experiences.
Experience Requirements
- At least 1 (one) year of relevant work experience in digital marketing, digital communication or related fields is required.
- Experience supporting digital campaigns, online engagement or fundraising-related communication is an asset.
- Familiarity with content management systems for websites is required.
- Background/familiarity with Emergency situations is an assert.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
• A university degree in Marketing, Communication, Social Sciences or other relevant fields is required.
