Overview
The Fundraising Officer (Acquisition and New Business) will support the increase of income and diversification of the income portfolio by supervising the donor acquisition strategy and identifying new business models.
Tasks Summary
- Identify, prospect, and cultivate new business income opportunities, focusing on individual giving acquisition and Corporate Pathways to Pledge initiatives.
- Design and lead the integrated strategy for acquiring new individual donors across offline and digital channels.
- Explore, design, and implement strategic partnerships with the private sector.
- Lead the diversification and scaling of acquisition channels, including the digital acquisition area.
- Supervise, monitor, and guide the optimization of the integrated individual donor portfolio strategy.
- Identify, develop, and lead the implementation of new business models based on Corporate Pathways to Pledge mechanisms.
- Define, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators across all acquisition portfolios.
- Lead and consolidate the digital acquisition function.
- Work closely with the Retention team to ensure alignment between onboarding new donors and retention strategies.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of progressively relevant work experience in fundraising and/or marketing, with demonstrated experience in donor acquisition and growth strategies across offline and digital channels (e.g., face-to-face, telemarketing, direct marketing, digital paid media), campaign planning and performance optimization (KPIs, ROI, testing).
- Experience working with data-driven audience segmentation, donor journey/onboarding, and managing external suppliers/agencies is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing donor portfolios and supporting new business strategies based on Corporate Pathways to Pledge mechanisms is required.
- It will be an asset to have knowledge of private sector screening, due diligence and brand risk processes.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
A university degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or other related field is required. An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) is an asset.
