Overview

The Senior Human Resources Associate will support the Human Resources Officer and National Human Resources Officer in managing recruitment processes, pre-employment activities, HR system data, and personnel actions.

Tasks Summary
  • Participate in evaluation of staffing needs and coordinate recruitment processes.
  • Carry out and coordinate pre-employment activities.
  • Perform assigned roles in the organizational HR system.
  • Monitor attendance and leave administration.
  • Carry-out and monitor a wide range of Human Resource actions.
  • Prepare, coordinate and monitor all reports on personnel matters.
  • Update and maintain electronic and physical archiving systems.
  • Monitor compliance with the performance evaluation process.
  • Plan and coordinate the organization of Human Resources events.
  • Provide information to staff on their entitlements and responsibilities.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide inputs for new procedures.
  • Assist in analyzing and resolving sensitive cases.
  • Participate in inter-agency Human Resources related working groups.
  • Provide guidance and training to and coordinate and monitor work of new/junior staff.
Experience Requirements
  • High School diploma with six years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field with four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook; previous experience in SAP is a distinct advantage;
  • Attention to detail, ability to organize paperwork in a methodical way; Discreet, details and clients-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things; and, Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Human Resources/Administrative best practices and procedures.
Qualification Requirements
  • High School Degree/Certificate
  • High School diploma with six years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field with four years of relevant professional experience.

Languages Required: fluency in English and Arabic is required (oral and written)
