Overview
The Human Resources Intern will gain hands-on exposure to HR operations within IOM South Africa, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, personnel administration, and staff support.
Tasks Summary
- Learn to prepare and publish vacancy notices.
- Develop skills in reviewing applications and supporting candidate shortlisting.
- Gain experience in coordinating interviews and preparing interview materials.
- Understand reference checks and pre-employment documentation.
- Support onboarding processes, including preparing induction materials.
- Learn to maintain personnel files and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Gain exposure to drafting HR selection letters and contracts.
- Develop skills in updating HR databases and staff lists.
- Understand how to monitor attendance and leave records.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the HR team.
- Gain experience in preparing reports and HR documentation.
Experience Requirements
Interns should have less than two years of relevant working experience.
Qualification Requirements
University degree or final-year student in Human Resources Management, Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
