Overview

The Accounting Analyst supports the accounting and financial reporting processes of the General Accounting Unit, primarily focusing on the analysis and recording of financial transactions related to the Agency’s short and long-term assets.

Tasks Summary
  • Maintain and update key financial reports within Oracle Financial Statement Generator (FSG).
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliation of general ledger (GL) accounts.
  • Review and analyse data to develop accounting entries.
  • Support the preparation of the IAEA's annual financial statements including note disclosures.
  • Assist in the preparation of interim financial reporting packages.
  • Prepare schedules in support of the external audit.
  • Prepare initial draft reports and presentations on key issues.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in accounting, including the preparation of financial statements and bank reconciliations.
  • Hands-on experience in preparing bank reconciliations and using cash management system module of an ERP system, preferably Oracle.
  • Hands-on experience in the use of the financial module of an ERP system, preferably Oracle, an advantage.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree - University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Other - Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant, ACCA, etc. certification or in process.
Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent oral and written command of English.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Contract Duration: 36 months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $43144 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 24376*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
