The Instrumentation Technician prepares safeguards instrumentation and contributes to the delivery of related services, supporting the IAEA's nuclear verification mission. This role involves the assembly, testing, calibration, evaluation, installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation used in nuclear facilities.
Minimum of five years of relevant work experience, including in testing or troubleshooting instrumentation problems in the field. Knowledge of and experience with assembling mechanical and electrical instrumentation, electrical design principles, network-based monitoring instrumentation. Experience with safeguards instrumentation, nuclear material, and nuclear facilities, as well as basic knowledge of the nuclear fuel cycle an asset. Experience in radiation detection instrumentation and/or computing an asset. Demonstrated experience in writing technical documentation in English.
Completed secondary education. Additional qualification in the area of electronics/technical engineering/information technology (e.g. Berufsschule, Associate University degree, Hoehere Technische Lehranstalt or equivalent) an asset.
Languages Required: Excellent oral and written command of English.
Languages Preferred: Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
Contract Duration: 36 months

Remuneration: Tax-free annual net base salary starting at EUR 59439 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), 6 weeks' annual vacation, pension plan and health insurance.
