Overview
Support the City of San Fernando, communities, children, and other stakeholders in identifying and responding to child well-being bottlenecks in the city, with particular attention to vulnerable children and adolescents.
Tasks Summary
- Support the identification and response to child well-being bottlenecks.
- Ensure attention to the needs of vulnerable children and adolescents.
- Contribute to the Situational Analysis (SITAN) process.
- Ensure analysis alignment with the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and National Child Policy 2024.
- Ensure SITAN covers survival, development, protection, and participation.
- Follow UNICEF Guidance on Conducting a Situation Analysis of Children’s Rights.
- Contribute to SITAN and CFCI Action Plan conceptual processes.
- Enhance access to disaggregated data and evidence.
- Strengthen child-sensitive and equity-focused planning.
- Document innovations and good practices.
- Provide evidence for CFCI action plan development.
- Establish a baseline for progress measurement.
- Facilitate children and adolescent engagement and participation.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in research methodology and data management.
- Experience in Rights-based approaches incorporating children and young people's voices.
- Experience applying safe and ethical practices when working with children and vulnerable groups.
- Experience engaging a variety of stakeholders with strong workshop facilitation and focused group discussion skills.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in social science, sociology or any other related field of study.
