Overview
The Regional Manager, Digital Transformation is responsible for delivering the IFRC Secretariat digital transformation strategy and annual plans within the Region. This role focuses on IT infrastructure, telecommunications, IT staff management, IT services support, and the implementation of global IT policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the provision of IT services and support in the region.
- Act as a “Business Partner” for Regional IFRC departments.
- Coordinate testing, rollout, and operations of IT infrastructure and application projects.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the Digital Transformation Department.
- Ensure a robust internal control environment.
- Provide leadership in regional emergency response through digital and data technologies.
- Strengthen National Society IT capacities through coordination and advisory services.
- Contribute to building a high-quality Digital Transformation Department.
- Lead the implementation of mission-critical digital systems.
Required Experience
- 5 year minimum of work in computer systems (LAN, WAN TCP/IP connectivity, E-mail, application and user support domains).
- Experience of project management within Information Technology.
- Experience in providing training and facilitating workshops.
- Experience working in a change management situation, preferably as an active participant in that change.
Qualifications
- Recognized professional qualification in the area of engineering, telecommunications, computer science or equivalent technology work.
- University degree in relevant area or equivalent experience
