Overview

The intern will assist in developing and updating various information and monitoring and evaluation tools within the Industry and Economy Division.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assign requests from the Correspondence Tracking System (CTS) team, supporting drafting and quality control.
  • Support the organization of meetings and events.
  • Support the compilation of inputs into briefing notes and format/edit them.
  • Support the Division’s Front Office in developing/finalizing Powerpoint presentations.
  • Provide support in the management/update of existing databases and tracking tools.
  • Regularly update the UNEP IED website/intranet and support the updating of entrance screens.
  • Act as focal point for the organization of briefing sessions for interns and liaison between interns and senior management.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent);
  • Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation. Final year undergraduate or master's degree student in business administration, communications, international relations, environmental affairs, development studies.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
