Local Individual Contractor, System Administrator

Overview

Provision of a fully deployed, secure, stable, and well-maintained ARCMTS operational environment, including configured servers, monitoring, security controls, backup systems, deployment scripts, and operational documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain all server environments, application services, and infrastructure used by ARCMTS modules
• Manage deployment of system updates, releases, patches, and configurations.
• Ensure system security through hardening, firewall configuration, access control management, and compliance with required cybersecurity standards.
• Set up and maintain system monitoring tools to track performance, load, errors, and service health.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and restore procedures in coordination with the DBA.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across environments, ensuring minimum downtime and continuity of service.
• Ensure proper operation of integrations with external systems
• Maintain user access controls and support administrative functions required by the ARCMTS
• Prepare system‑level documentation and support testing, staging, and production deployments.

Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or DevOps/System Engineer is required. Experience managing secure, high availability server environments for complex information systems (government or financial sector preferred) is desirable. Proven experience with server installation and configuration, system monitoring and troubleshooting, access control and security hardening, deployment tools and CI/CD practices, backups, restore, and disaster recovery is required. Experience supporting systems with workflows, digital signatures, financial operations, and document management is desirable. Work experience with Uzbekistan’s national law enforcement agencies and knowledge of specifics of work with sensitive information is desirable.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Formal qualifications or certifications from a recognized national or international educational institution related to computer science, information technology or closely related field is desirable.
