Overview
The Legal Intern will conduct legal research and factual analysis, draft legal documents, and provide litigation-related support under the supervision of Legal Officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting legal research and factual analysis
- Drafting assistance and other litigation-related support such as cite-checking
- Compiling and collating materials
Required Experience
- No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.
- Previous legal experience is desirable.
- Experience dealing with sensitive or confidential information is desirable.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a law university-degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent)
- Law students enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate-school programme (second university degree (Master’s Degree) or equivalent, or higher)
- Applicants must be computer literate in standard software applications.
