Overview

The National Communication Officer will contribute to the Country Office’s Communications Team, leading the donor communication portfolio and developing communication products.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the donor communication portfolio, including contribution to donor proposals and reports, and development of stories, press releases, social media posts, video scripts, and other products in English and Bangla.
  • Support the team in developing advocacy and communication products for campaigns, events, meetings, and other occasions.
  • Work closely with programme teams to collect stories and visuals from field missions.
  • Contribute to communication-related partnerships.
  • Conceptualise, plan, execute, and monitor campaigns and events.
  • Support media and news monitoring.
  • Support the Communication team’s work, backstop team members in their absence, and serve as OIC Chief of Communication when required.
Required Experience

7 years of relevant professional experience in communications, journalism, or related fields, with demonstrated experience in developing high-quality communication products. Experience in photography and videography is highly desirable. Experience in visual communications, including graphics, layout, and content design, is an advantage.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Journalism, media, communication, international relations, development studies, social sciences or gender. A bachelor’s degree may be considered equivalent to at least 9 years of experience.
