Overview

The Programme Management Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating assigned programmes/projects, monitoring their progress, and coordinating with relevant parties to address issues and ensure follow-up actions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, implements and evaluates assigned programmes/projects.
  • Monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation.
  • Reviews relevant documents and reports.
  • Identifies problems and issues to be addressed and initiates corrective actions.
  • Liaises and coordinates with relevant parties.
  • Performs consulting assignments.
  • Researches, analyzes and presents information.
  • Coordinates policy development.
  • Generates survey initiatives.
  • Designs data collection tools.
  • Organizes and prepares written outputs.
  • Provides substantive backstopping to meetings and coordination mechanisms.
  • Initiates and coordinates outreach activities.
  • Conducts training workshops, seminars, etc.
  • Makes presentations on assigned topics/activities.
  • Leads and/or participates in large, complex field missions.
  • Coordinates activities related to budget funding.
  • Collects and analyzes data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Required Experience

A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required. Experience supporting programmes, projects or initiatives related to missing persons is desirable. Experience engaging with Syrian stakeholders, including national authorities, civil society organizations and affected communities in the Syrian context, is desirable. Experience coordinating with international organizations, donors or multi-stakeholder partnerships is desirable. 2 years or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
