Overview
The Project Coordinator – Emergency Pool ensures the overall coordination, management, and implementation of emergency interventions in MSF WaCA contexts, guaranteeing an efficient, timely, and high-quality response.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in exploratory missions and rapid assessments
- Define initial operational setup of emergency responses
- Ensure rapid deployment of teams and activities
- Coordinate all project components (medical, logistics, HR, finance)
- Ensure effective implementation of project activities
- Monitor progress and adapt strategy to evolving contexts
- Supervise and support multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure clear roles, objectives and performance follow-up
- Promote a positive working environment
- Represent MSF with authorities, partners and stakeholders
- Ensure coordination with MoH and other actors
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Oversee financial, HR and logistical resources
- Ensure compliance with MSF procedures
- Contribute to budget planning and monitoring
- Monitor project indicators and performance
- Ensure quality and accountability of interventions
- Produce regular operational reports
- Contribute to emergency preparedness strategies in WaCA
- Support other missions when required (gap filling)
- Ensure flexibility and rapid deployment
Required Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years in humanitarian field
- Experience in project coordination or management
- Experience in emergency contexts required
- Previous MSF experience is an asset
Qualifications
University degree in relevant field (Medicine, Public Health, Management or equivalent)
