Overview

Collect, analyze, and report information to maximize the efficiency of logistical operations and activities, ensuring optimal warehouse management, loss reduction, and timely food delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of logistics plans and processes, ensuring strict adherence to WFP logistics policies and operational standards.
  • Support daily logistics operations, including warehousing, repacking, preparation, and dispatch of food commodities.
  • Ensure the application of good practices in food commodity management and handling in warehouses.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics data (warehouses, transport, dispatch, losses, fleet utilization).
  • Plan and align transport capacity with distribution plans.
  • Monitor daily dispatch pipeline and fleet utilization.
  • Prepare, consolidate, and disseminate accurate and timely logistics reports.
  • Mentor and support logistics support staff.
  • Contribute to capacity building of WFP staff and partners.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with logistics colleagues, Programme, and operational partners.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
  • Ensure compliance with WFP SOPs and procedures for fuel management.
Required Experience

At least one year of post-graduate professional experience in the logistics management of vast and complex operations, including the development and implementation of logistics plans, adherence to policies and regulations, warehouse and stock management, and operational planning and management of vehicle fleets. Additional years of experience are highly desirable. Experience in supervising workshops and fuel management, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational safety rules.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree in transport economics, supply chain, logistics, engineering, business management, or other related field, or a first university degree with several years of relevant professional experience and/or additional training/courses.

Excellent command of French is required. Proficiency in Haitian Creole is essential.
Languages Preferred
A good working knowledge of English is an asset.
