Overview
The National Programme and Liaison Officer will support the overall management and administration of the IOM Office in Minsk, contributing to programme implementation in line with IOM policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Chief of Mission in managing operational, human resources, administrative, financial and supply chain functions.
- Participate in meetings with Government Authorities, International Organizations, NGOs, voluntary agencies, media and Private Sector.
- Contribute to maintaining, promoting and strengthening working relationships with national governmental authorities, international organizations and NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical inputs to the design and development of new projects.
- Support the coordination of compliance with safety and security procedures.
- Support the implementation and reporting of all programme activities.
- Provide regular updates on programme implementation, achievements and donor liaison issues.
- Contribute to promoting the visibility of IOM and its donors.
Required Experience
- Master’s degree with two years of relevant professional experience; or Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in liaison with government authorities, donors, national/international institutions and multi-stakeholders.
- Experience in project development and reporting.
- Experience in programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
- Experience working in post-conflict /emergency operations is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Humanitarian Affairs, Law, International Relations, Disaster Risk Reduction/Disaster Risk Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
- Bachelor’s degree in the above fields.
