Provides substantive and administrative support in managing priorities and workflow for a manager and work unit. Serves as a communications link between supervisor and senior staff.
Tasks Summary
- Assists in department/division administration
- Coordinates and monitors diverse activities and work processes
- Serves as a communications link between supervisor and senior staff
- Screens and prioritizes correspondence
- Liaises with Registries and Legal Offices
- Handles complex requests and inquiries
- Supports manager in presentations
- Establishes/improves administrative procedures
- Prepares, processes and classifies confidential information
- Handles administrative duties (leave, travel, expenses)
- Exercises quality control for outgoing documents
- Manages and updates OSLA databases
- Assists with data collection, analysis and reporting
Experience Requirements
- Knowledge of general office and administrative support including administrative policies, processes and procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate records, interpret/analyze a wide variety of data, and identify/resolve data discrepancies and activity problems and apply good judgment in the context of assignments given
