Overview

Performs a range of laboratory services including biochemistry, hematology, serology, routine examinations, and bacteriology. Ensures accuracy of laboratory information in the computerized health information system.

Tasks Summary

• Performs the full range of laboratory services including biochemistry, hematology, serology, routine (urine and stool examination) and bacteriology
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of laboratory information in the computerized health information system (e-Health)
• Maintains laboratory equipment, supplies and reagents
• Prepares estimates of requirements for replenishment of consumable supplies
• Prepares the monthly and annual laboratory statistical report
• Reviews and analyzes quality control results (internal and external) and makes the necessary intervention
• Performs such other duties as may be required

Experience Requirements

• At least two years’ experience in providing medical laboratory services is required
• Experience in the use of computers and an understanding of their use in health applications is required

Qualification Requirements

• Completion of a full secondary education
• Completion of a two-year diploma from an accredited educational institution in medical laboratory technician or any other related discipline
• Possession of a license to practice laboratory services (where applicable)

Contract Duration: up to three months

Remuneration: Daily Rate: 23,48 USD • 1 day Annual Leave and 1 day of sick leave for each completed month of service
