Overview

Provides routine logistics transportation support within the mission, ensuring optimal resource utilization and operational support to clients. Participates in logistics planning, coordination, and development of emergency and contingency plans.

Tasks Summary
  • Identifies routine logistics transportation requirements and prepares/implements methods to meet them.
  • Provides logistical and operational support for commodities and services.
  • Participates in logistics planning and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Reviews logistics implementation plans to develop deployment plans.
  • Participates in developing logistics emergency and contingency plans.
  • Researches and analyzes operational trends and requirements.
  • Prepares documentation for mission asset holdings review.
  • Completes periodic reports on logistics support.
  • Ensures regions are supported with parts and materials.
  • Ensures proper storage of items.
  • Ensures timely issuance and delivery of materials/spare parts.
  • Conducts regular inventories of assets.
  • Assists in asset disposal processes.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in remote logistics operations, supply, supply-chain management, or asset management or related area is required.
  • Experience in inventory and asset management in the United Nations system or a comparable international organisation is required.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and/or Systems Applications and Products (SAP) is desirable.
  • Proficiency in computer applications used for asset and inventory management and familiarity with database management is desirable.
  • Experience in sourcing, cleaning and preparing data, selection and developing visualization/metrics in transportation, procurement, and/or supply chain management is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
  • High School Diploma is required.
  • A valid Driver's license, including the ability to operate a manual-transmission light vehicle in 4x4 conditions, is desirable.
  • Technical or vocational certificate in logistics, transportation or asset management is desirable.
Other Details

Languages Required: English is required.

Languages Preferred: French is desirable.

Contract Duration: until 30 June 2026
