Overview

The intern will support the OICT Communications team in promoting the work of OICT and its personnel by assisting in the production of engaging multimedia content.

Tasks Summary

• Create short videos for OICT projects, initiatives and teams for social media coverage.
• Assist with the production of supporting graphics, including social media assets.
• Provide script writing and editing support.
• Perform post-production tasks on acquired footage.
• Edit videos for publishing on OICT social media platforms.
• Optimize graphics and video content for web and social media.
• Create graphics and web banners for ICT stories as needed.
• Assist with other ad hoc communications-related activities as instructed.

Experience Requirements

No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.

Qualification Requirements

a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the FINAL academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).

Other Details

Languages Required: fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 3 - 6 months.

Work Modality: In person in New York or remote, full time or part time modalities would be considered.

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
